Job Title: Information Desk Associate

Job Duration: Temporary to Hire

Pay Rate: $12.00-$18.00/hour

Hours: Full-time 40 hours/week

Location: Crystal Lake, IL

Job Description: 

  • Maintain consistent presence at reception desk
  • Actively greet customers as they enter the building: stand, smile, timely customer acknowledgement, friendly greeting
  • Engage customers in appropriately timed conversation to build rapport and ensure that they are directed properly
  • Walk/direct customer to the proper department/person/seating area and provide individualized customer service (i.e. offer beverage, provide appropriate marketing materials)
  • Manage the flow of incoming lobby and telephone traffic to ensure consistent service
  • Notarize documents for customers
  • Issue and activate ATM and Debit cards
  • Respond to inquirers including products, services, fees, and rates. Respond to basic customer service and account inquiries
  • Perform basic customer transactions including, address changes, and printing counter checks and deposit tickets
  • Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and securing ATM and debit card issuing logs. Preform debit card audits
  • Responsible for maintaining and services Instant Issue debit card machine.  Responsible for monitoring and ordering associated supplies including ribbons and card stock
  • Requisition and maintain supplies for Main Bank Operations and PBS’s. To include copy machine and printer supplies
  • Open and close Bank at the beginning and end of business day. Check all printers and counter areas to ensure that all confidential items are properly secured at end of day
  • Perform basic account and CIF maintenance, such as address and phone number changes
  • Assist with Deluxe check/supply orders and related research. Interface with Deluxe to resolve issues
  • Maintain the coffee bar and weekend/special occasion refreshments
  • Responsible for ensuring all collateral pieces are current. This includes ensuring that materials are current in display areas, PBC desks and supply areas
  • Post marketing specials and advertisements as required
  • Sock check stand and change date daily
  • Maintain updated signage in vestibule areas
  • Send IT and/or maintenance work orders as necessary
  • Provide switchboard support as necessary
  • Perform Customer Service functions as needed
  • Adhere to Bank policies and procedures
  • Provide Teller support as needed
  • Perform and assume other duties and projects as assigned


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous Customer Service / public contact experience
  • Friendly helpful personality
  • Professional neat appearance
  • Knowledge of all areas of the bank and their respective functions
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer/keyboarding skills including proficiencies in Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to “smile” under all situations
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task
  • Having a proficiency to multi-task, making customer awareness and timely acknowledgement the major focus while possessing the ability to return to the task at hand with minimal effort or disruption of concentration
