Job Title: Payroll Manager

Job Duration: Temporary to Hire, Possible Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $60-$70k/year

Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Location: West Dundee, IL

Job Description: 

• Oversee Payroll Processors
• Prepare reports
• Balance payroll accounts by resolving discrepancies
• Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
• Maintains payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Maintains payroll staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years in a management roll
• Previous payroll processing experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Data entry skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills
